What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and through our advisory work, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It applies to visitors to this website and to clients and prospective clients of BML.

Data we collect

Information you give us. When you complete a form on this site we collect your name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, and the answers you give to the qualifying questions (business activity, visa requirements, budget, role to fill, and similar), together with any message you write and the page the form was sent from.

Information we collect automatically. Standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device, referring page and pages viewed, collected through analytics and advertising cookies.

Information required to deliver our services. If you become a client, we collect the identity and due diligence documents required by UAE law and by the licensing authorities and banks involved — typically passport copies, proof of address, source of funds information and corporate documents.

Legal basis

Where the GDPR applies to you as a resident of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on: your consent (marketing and non-essential cookies); the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering one (responding to your enquiry and delivering our services); our legal obligations (AML and KYC record keeping); and our legitimate interests in operating and improving our business.

In the United Arab Emirates we process personal data in accordance with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only where necessary, with: free zone and government authorities involved in your licence, visa or registration; banks and licensed financial institutions where you have asked us to make an introduction; our professional advisers and auditors; and service providers who operate our website and tools.

Form submissions from this site are transmitted through FormSubmit, which delivers them to our email. Website measurement and advertising use Google Analytics and Google Ads. These providers process data on servers that may be located outside your country; where the GDPR applies, transfers rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

We never sell your personal data.

Cookies

Essential cookies keep the site working. Analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Google Ads) help us understand which pages generate enquiries and how much a lead costs. You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings; essential functions will continue to work.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become engagements are deleted within 24 months. Client files, including due diligence documents, are retained for the period required by UAE anti-money-laundering legislation, currently a minimum of five years after the end of the business relationship. Accounting records are kept for the period required by UAE corporate tax and commercial law.

Your rights

Subject to the law that applies to you, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing. Where processing rests on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Write to contact@bmluae.com. We respond within 30 days. Some data cannot be deleted while a legal retention obligation applies. If you are in the EEA or the UK and are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your national data protection authority.

Security

We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we hold, including access controls, encrypted transmission and restricted document storage. No system is perfectly secure; please do not send passwords or full financial credentials by email.

Children

This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page with its date of last update. Material changes affecting clients will be notified by email.
